Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne or [pa:dUko]; born 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi films. It is among the top-paid actors in India with her accomplishments that includes three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine named her one of 100 influential people around the globe in 2018. Also, she received with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. In her teens she was a badminton player in tournaments at national level, but decided to end her sport to work as a fashion model. Padukone soon got offers for film roles, and she started her acting career in 2006 as her character's title in the Kannada movie, Aishwarya. Padukone appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan a dual actor on the film Om Shanti Om, her debut Bollywood film. It was awarded an award from the Filmfare Award as Best Female debut.
