Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been a director, actress writer, producer, and teacher for St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain and her mother is an "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's first memories involve attending rehearsals for plays as well as watching her mother's working. In her early years Anna appeared in a number of commercials for television. Anna moved out of Toronto in 1999 to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman and Anna met in Los Angeles in 2007, in an acting workshop. They were engaged by 2009 when they were married. Anna became a Jew at the age of 11, after having converted to Judaism. The couple was married civilly in December of that year and then renewed their vows at the Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton on April 11, 2011. Bo's same-sex relationship with Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in CNN's list of all-time Favorite Television Couples and was named the top Television Couple of 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on social media grew as a result of the show.
