April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star American is part of a select category of females who have won medals in several Olympics. In Tokyo in the coming days she will attempt to net her third medal along with the first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic Gold. At 39, this could be her final chance to take home the gold medal at an Olympics. However, she's confident that the top awards are within reach. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing consistently or well they could win a gold. In addition, I'll try some chance. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and sister. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. Being a pre-athlete she was also a participant in indoor track and volleyball. In her final game, she clearly stood out. In her college profile, she was an outside hitter middle blocker, and setter throughout her volleyball time at high school. She was awarded one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. In 2000, she was recognized as the Orange County Athlete of the Year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are doing what they do since 2017. But, Ross was an important player on the beach volleyball circuit before joining the duo. It's true that she's won multiple big tournaments and one partner was a volleyball superstar. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Together together with Kessy, Ross won the World Championship in 2009, while racing internationally. In 2012, the pair took silver in London's Olympics. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor clinched gold ahead of them. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor after she retired. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball trophy at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. After high school and many years before hitting the beach as a professional Ross was a ball for the USC Trojans as an collegiate. Ross had an impressive run in the college. In 2000, she was voted Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year, and was also an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans get to the Final Four. The Trojans were devastated through a tragedy in her life during her sophomore years, yet she managed to become an All-American once more. The last two years with the Trojans' program, she led them to victories by winning consecutive national championships. For her part Ross established her status in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the most outstanding female volleyball players at colleges across the nation. Ross was an international relations major at USC. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter reach the top of beach volleyball. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross had just become an undergraduate student in the second year at USC. But she still keeps her parent close to heart. Margie remains a source of inspiration, both off and on of the shore.
