Lee Roy Selmon's existence is a combination of football scholarship, family service and community involvement. His first family is that he's the youngest out of the nine children raised by Eufala with Lucious Selmon. In football, he played alongside three brothers in Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-Americans. One year 1973 Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy won the Outland and Lombardi Awards as the nation's most effective lineman. During his three-year tenure as the starting quarterback for Oklahoma and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and captured two national titles. Selmon was given a second scholarship in 1975. He was also designated an National Football Foundation Student-Athlete. Selmon is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in education. Lee Roy dedicated ten volunteer hours per week during his time in college.
